When you think you already know...

I enrolled in a baking school a year ago. I was able to put up my own little business and even joined competitions and won. I am confident enough to say that I already found my passion in baking. Unfortunately, few days ago, I baked a cake. I know in my heart that the ingredients are measured precisely and everything is well incorporated. Then came the slicing of the cake. The frosting was grainy.
I was so embarrassed. I did try smiling in front of the guests, but I felt so upset.
Have you encountered that kind of situation wherein you think you already know everything but then end up failing? It s*cks!

Maybe you are stressed that's why you think it's all equal but it's not ,next time relax in what you are doing

I am so sorry to hear that. That is one of the things that stresses me out about cooking for others. I am always worried that it won't be perfect.

but the rest of the cake was okay in terms of texture and taste? then it's still more than okay for me since it was baked from scratch for my visit.

@hereandthere Butter cake. They weren't able to finish eating even the single slice.
