I feel wonderful. I've been wanting to write for a long time now and finally found a place where i could. Writing for me is liberating and enriching, and i'm sure it is the same for everyone who shares this passion.
How important is writing for you and how has it changed your life?

That's great.Discussion with people brings about new perspective and the change which tags along could help us break boundaries.

@maxens8 yup! I like to learn new things...
but it is embarrassing to admit that I don't know how to describe it...

@WordBuster I really love the discussions and interactions here. I got a feeling I am getting wiser everyday... but I am not sure if it is really true...

Writing for me is a therapy. This is where I unleash everything that's on my mind.

I'm the type of person who has trouble speaking my mind, but writing has allowed me an outlet to express my feelings. I've found it to be therapeutic, I'm at ease when I write.

Rightly said. Sharing ideas and interacting with people from around the world really broadens one's intellect. We get to experience different thought patterns influenced by different cultures which in-turn lets us understand the world better.

@MALUSE Hi,I have an interesting theory that i would like to share with you.
Writing random stuff anywhere wouldn't have any impact on ones intellect or knowledge. On the other hand, serious writing (discussion) could involve thinking and searching our brain for better ways of expression. Now, how does that effect one's intellect?
1) Deeper thinking will enable us to comprehend everything related to any subject, it helps us understand that subject as a whole.
2) When one puts out a well thought out article, he/she could expect his/her views to be both appreciated and challenged by equally good or better thoughts. Now this makes us rethink, to understand the challenging idea.
3) When one understands the challengers idea ,it means one also understands the other's way of thinking,or at the least tries to, thus we gain a new perspective. Consistent appreciation and challenge over time on a variety of subjects would take our understanding on things to a new level and this equates to experience with information.
4) Experience with information gives us knowledge which sticks with us forever, and knowledge molds our thoughts and actions better.
5)Intellect is after all, way of using our knowledge.
Well, just my take on this. Would greatly appreciate your view.

It's always been important to me to write, but I've never felt the need to make all my writings public. I think writing is a healthy outlet but there are times I want to be private about it, other times when I like to share things. This site is a good way to share things.

@5thHouse I agree. There are things i want to share, but sometimes i write purely for the pleasure of writing and i do not share it with others.

@janjaran As long as you can express yourself and people understand it, you are good to go. Reading and writing often helps improve command over the language.Hope you have a great time enjoying and learning :).

Writing is also a therapy for me. Because I can write whatever I want to say. I declutter some of my thoughts.
