Consider YOUR Worth to the World

I’m not talking about how much money you have or how many things you own. I’m talking about how valuable YOU are, as a person.
If a person considers all the numerous things that had to happen so that we, as the person we are, actually exist, it should increase in our own minds that we are each important to the world.
Think about it! Each generation that existed in your ancestry was necessary for you to exist NOW. Your great, great, great etc. grandparents had to exist FIRST and then down through the generations, each set of parents had to produce an offspring that eventually produced YOU. The chances of you being born are astronomical.
YOU are unique. There is no one else exactly like you anywhere in the world, or anyone who has ever existed at any time in history that is exactly like you. You are final product of all the generations that came before you.
Your presence in the world is a “gift” to the world. You are one of a kind. Your life choices are important to the world. You can make the world a better place or NOT. Your life is important to those around you. You can pursue a better life for yourself and those around you will be affected by your choices.
In the bigger scope of things, think about how important YOU are to the world around you and make your presence in the world something that is going to make the world a better place.
The circle of family, friends, and workmates whose lives YOU touch can be affected by your choices in life for good or for bad. Consider if each person tried to IMPROVE the lives of others they have contact with, then each circle of persons would be happier and more content.
What you do is important. Your life is important. YOU are important. YOU are here for a reason. Make the best of your life and many will benefit.

That was very, very, VERY well put. I was reading at church this weekend, I also had to read the Prayers of the Faithful. As I was reading them a thought went through my mind as to how important my role was in that moment. I always felt I was doing God's work by being a lector at church, but for some reason that thought hit me strong in the moment this weekend. It felt good.

It was a powerful feeling, I'm sure, to realize how important you are, especially when it comes to helping others. Good for you.

Great positive thoughts. That is why I write, create poetry and blog because I want everyone to know who I am, that I am here and to share my thoughts and emotions @IreneVincent

Each person in this world has worth and it's my hope that they understand their worth, especially if they strive to use their lives in a worthy way.

Yes, I've heard that saying many times before. We need other people and they need us.

First of I agree that each person is valueable to an extent because how much does each individual provide to the world, not much. Yes you're unique because everyone is different but unique isn't equal to being good and you say that our presence is a gift to the world, yet the humans are destroying it so please think again. What do you do is important for yourself and maybe your family, and what other reason are you here for if not to breed? Our life has no goal other than just that, sure you can try help people etc but that's not a goal that's just being friendly. We're all going to die one day so we should all just try help our families and ourselves.

I appreciate your comments, but I don't agree with what you said: "what other reason are you here for if not to breed." And you also said that "Our life has no goal..." But it does. Perhaps you MIGHT enjoy reading something about "What is the purpose of life?"
Let me know what you think about this.
To question the meaning of life, some also ask: Why are we here? Does my life have a purpose? You can consider fundamental truths that the Bible reveals.

First of all, I agree with you. Each of us has a purpose to be here. So many things had to align in order for us to even be born. Once we realize that, the next step is to understand how we can improve the world around us, by having a positive effect on others.

You are definitely someone who is very important, or you wouldn't be here. Find your path to knowing why you are here.
