Are you good in math ?

I wasn't so bad in high school, I did like to do math than other subjects but after high school I couldn't continue my interest of doing math in further study.But I didn't leave doing in my spare time and have been teaching till to high school level.But now my interest toward teaching math is gradually fading up. Because yesterday I took more than 30 secs to answer a math when my niece question me that what would be left out of hundred if we take out 37?

@epiffanie I could understand addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are necessary but I couldn't understand how simplification get uses in our daily life.

You need to keep equanimity and for that the right subject is philosophy, be a philosopher...lol

Its not that bad because 30 seconds is fair, I think. Math is not my favorite subject, the least in my mind, I guess.
