In our locality, there are a few by lanes which connect to the main road. For buying the groceries we need to go to the other side of the main road, parking the vehicles in any of the lanes.
Today something unusual happened. I parked my vehicle, and went for buying the essentials. When came back, found that the traffic police were about to tow the vehicle away. 
That was something totally unexpected to me as they never come inside the by lanes. On inquiring they told that some VIPs will going through the main road, and they were supposed to clean-up even the lanes nearby.
I got saved by a whisker from being a scapegoat of the VIP culture.

@moondebi I wonder whether it happens only in India.Many times we will find we have to take a detour just because a VIP will be passing that way.

So it's that way there , when there's a VIP . That's a bad way to treat others just because of a VIP . That's not that way here .

It would have been a big hassle on your part if you did not come at the right time. How sad that they just tow vehicles and give big headache to car owners all because of VIPs.
