Is there a maximum number of notifications?

I know that our notification delete after one week but my doubt today is if there is a maximum number of notifications we can keep in our notification center.
For example, at the moment I have more than 60 notifications to check. Will they start disappearing after i receive some more? Or is it unlimited?

I have gotten 80+ and then I finish them and get more. I don't think it is limited. Doesn't seem to be for me.

I have confusion in this regard but I have noted one thing whenever I do no interaction and there isn't update notification,the system send the unchecked notification again to be appear as notification number on the profile image.
