Wish Me Good Luck

This afternoon I’m meeting with the publisher I met a week or so ago. He requested copies of the Foreword and Introduction of my scholarship book to show to big shots at a very large school district. I have them ready.
We’re going to discuss his plan for my book. We’re also going to talk about mine. I hope the two are compatible. I know parents and grandparents of kindergarten through high school aged kids all over the country want and need this information. With it, their children should graduate college without student loan debt. That’s my goal.
I don’t have the power or authority to make college tuition free. What I do have is the information which can improve the likelihood that students will earn very large scholarships. The money is out there, students just need to take rigorous courses, get great grades, fulfill all the A through G requirements, score well on the SAT and do the other things explained in my book.
They aren’t difficult. In fact, since they appear simple, it’s easy to ignore them. Students who end up with the most money don’t. I’ll let you know how the meeting goes. Wish me luck.
UPDATE: My meeting lasted two hours. We both left happy, energized and with a clear focus of the next step. Yippee. Thanks for the good thoughts.

I think they may be. He wants to optimize profits, and I want as many people as possible to get the book. Different reasons, but compatible outcomes.

Good luck, I hope you get what you intended.
I've read in the past that the best education one can get is in a library because reading is free and the librarians are always there to help you find more books loaded with information if you need it.

Perhaps, but no one is there to explain it. People really need skilled teachers/professors. And, without a degree, many businesses won't hire a person, no matter what they know.

Once you think you've learned what you wanted you can always take a test at a college to see if you qualify for a higher class @ElizabethWallace just never tell em ya don't intend to give them money for an education.

@rebelann Sounds good, but they won't give you a degree. It's important to learn, but employers want proof.

It is not only exactly what the publisher wants, but the target market too. We're starting with a huge school district. He's having a meeting with them today.

@changjiangzhibin89 I'm glad it's not all going to waste. Such a pity when knowledge isn't shared.

@simone10 No, but it does pertain to any child (parent or grandparent) between 5 and 17.

Sorry. This book is not about student loans. It's about kids becoming the ideal scholarship applicant, so they don't need them.

@JamesHxstatic We're considering this a way to "prime the pump". The more people who see it, talk about it and read it, the more who will hear about it and want a copy for themselves.

It took years to figure out how to help kids get huge scholarships, and another year of research, then 17 months of writing.

Will do. We had a second meeting which also went well. I end each meeting with the question: "What's my next step?" This keeps the process moving along.

@ElizabethWallace Indeed. I can't remember who it was but one of the great football managers said it's much better to be a lucky manager than a good one!

@ElizabethWallace - I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday. I'm about 1/3 of the way through creating the draft of my book. I am working on smoother transitions, making corrections, etc. I could write him any time, because I already have the first part of my book finished and the next two-thirds are almost finished. The last part just needs the finishing touches. Of course, I'm sure there will also be revisions he will want later on, but I'm feeling pretty good about it so far.

@ElizabethWallace May be you can also highlight the asian countries that can provide education at lower prices though admission is pretty fierce here .
