So I got a note in my sons school folder that he has pictures on the 27th of this month. Well, needless to say we don't get paid til the 29th and 30th so I messaged the school on Facebook to see what I can do and now awaiting a response. I am having no luck selling my laptop since my cousin bailed on me for that. Whatever. Hopefully I can get the money or if they let me pay the following Monday for his pictures. Still waiting for the picture packet with prices to come back home yet so I can get an estimate on the money I need to come up with. Ugh, why do they do this when no one gets paid until the 1st?! Oh well. Just gonna have to wait and see. Cross fingers!

I hope they agree to wait for the money. School pictures are always so overpriced too. You think they could come up with better deals.

My daughter had hers last month and it was the first time that I saw on the form that you could post date a check for up to 30 days. I thought that was unusual. They had started taking credit cards last yr. I hope they get back to you soon and your able to make it all work out.

Some schools will still take pics even if you don't send the money just so the kids are in the yearbook. I know they did when I was in school.

@carebear29 If that is the case I would not worry about the money til it comes time for the yearbook. Unless you want pictures from what they send home.

When I was in school, we took pictures first and a few days later, we will bring the proofs home and our parents' can select if we want to purchase.
Hopefully you'll come up with the money to buy some pictures for your son!

Don't you just hate that? When I was raising my own kids they always took the pictures and sent them home for your approval and purchase. You either sent them back or what ever portion you did not want or paid the money. I was shocked when my grandkids came home with these notices that the pictures had to be paid in advance. Ugh!

Is there a grandma or grandpa who could loan you the money and you could pay it back when you get paid? It seems like there is always something like that coming up at the exact wrong time. Hope it works out.

@carebear29 Yeah right when most of us that are interested in this kind of thing are on a fixed income. Getting paid once a month is no fun.

I remember how expensive those school photos used to be. I'm surprised they get away with the high prices in this day and age when it's much easier for people to take photographs. When I was a kid taking photos was quite a rare event because of the costs of processing the films, so school photos were something we all used to look forward to. When nearly everyone has a camera on their phone these days, we don't need professionals to come and take photographs anymore, so surely the costs should go down.

I hope they give some relaxation. My sincere wishes are with you. Besides you don't have to sell your lappy for that. I could lend you some sum if that is ok

Our kids had their pictures done in school last week. In the past, I know tons of kids have forgotten to bring in their payment envelopes . . . everyone's photos will be taken regardless (they need to have it for that class photo anyway). Surely you will be able to pay later, but some will tack on that late fee.
