Please Watch Your Mouth on My Posts!

Greetings everyone! I've got a request. I'd like for my followers to please mind their language when commenting on my posts. As a Christian, I find it offensive and don't appreciate it. If you use language on your own posts that's your choice and I have no right to ask you not to, but I do feel that I have the right to ask you to mind your language when commenting on mine. Even if you're using symbols to block out most of the letters, I'd rather not see it. I've had to delete several comments so far. I'm not trying to be a jerk, honestly. I just prefer to keep things clean, if that's ok. I hope you guys can respect that. Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it! :-)

I don't use it here because I don't want to get kicked off the site.

I never used to before but someone was out of control on one of my previous posts. I had to delete a lot of comments. I thought there was a rule against it. The person used symbols to block out most of the letters but it was still obvious what words they were using.

I never cuss or use bad words so I don't need to worry about being careful but I just wish other people would be respectful and not post them. :-(

It should be common sense but nobody seems to have that anymore. :-(

I think it is against the rules to do that anyway. I am fairly new here, and believe you can't use that language on posts, but unsure on comments. I agree. I don't like the language either. But I have been lucky so far, because I have not seen that much on my posts.

It is against the rules. I will be reporting it if I see it again. I just felt that writing this post as a warning first would be fair.

I hope so too. At first is was just one person. They were using bad language and inappropriate jokes. I blocked them but then two more started in with the language. I just don't appreciate it. People used to be more respectful and now nobody seems to care.

oh? so when did this happen? This site is purely english writing only and such strict rule should be followed. But I noticed some of my people can't help themselves. It must be a hassle to even check and delete them.

I honestly can't believe that you even have to ask people to keep their language in mind when posting. I hope that they take notice!

Thanks for sharing this. I was wondering if it would make a difference to report it since they didn't use the actual word but added symbols instead. Now that I know I'll definitely be reporting it.

I agree with you. I donĀ“t see the point in using that kind of rude language to try to make a point. I think we can express oursleves clarily without having to use a ton of foul language per reply.

I agree. Bad language makes people seem less intelligent, in my opinion.

Exactly. I wish people would do that in real life, too. People used to be more respectful when it came to using bad language.
