what is the best operating system for PC???

i am a student and i purchase a laptop online but i am confuse that what operating system is best .. .please suggest me the best operating system in your point of view?

Once I used Ubuntu which is Linux based, I waved Microsoft goodbye You must use a compatible printer.

I installed ubuntu once for free, I liked that part, and found it user friendly. Didn't know if I wanted to relearn an OS but the gui was great. Do you find you had to change all your applications. I have a few old win programs that I still use out of i don't know. . . . . affection

@Bluedoll I did change things. It was not a problem. If I was stuck I found code online.

I think Windows 7 is best operating system and it is support for all application otherwise Windows 10 is also best OS.

Windows 7 is the best I had upgraded to Windows 10 but then downgraded to Windows 7 it is the most stable Os and it has no compatibility issues with my softwares so I will recommend Windows 7 if you want the latest Os then go for Windows 10 peace :)
