Festival time extavagance / myLot

Soon it is going to be festival time in Bengal state of India. It is a time when people splurge on dresses and luxury items. Because of rising prices everything has become more expensive. Essential food commodities have become costlier twofold or threefold than last year's. Yet, people will not stop being extravagant.

That's a part of culture, i think. Yes, i often see in Indian movies that women there like wearing many bracelets, earrings, and lots of jewelry. But they all look beautiful!
