It's Autumn and It Shows

We are back in summer weather for a few days but by the weekend it should feel like autumn and I can start making soups again.

Nothing different here, sun is out, it will be 91. My husband loves chestnuts but we don't have an open fire for him - he does them in the microwave.

I saw the Autumn announcement on Facebook. Not looking like Autumn yet but I think soon!

Well, in my country, we don't have those four seasons. So, no, it does not feel 'autumn' where I live. But I love seeing your (part of the world's) pictures of autumn. The colors. They are beautiful.

I know that it's coming, but it's been quite pleasant in England today. The leaves are falling though, there is a carpet of them in my back garden.

This week up until now it has been summer-like although there's that coolness at night that heralds the autumn. I do love this time of year but hate what it brings- Winter! Btw I love seeing the wares in your markets in Switzerland and that beige pumpkin is here too and is my favourite type!

I cannot say that today s very much different to yesterday, but we are gradually drifting into colder weather.

Yes, the weather is changing! Here we have what is called "Indian Summer", which can be a little spell of warm summer weather. Hope we get one of those this year!

Well sort of but by no means is it cool here, it'll be in the 90s (32 or above celcius) for a while yet but we are getting more days in the 80s mixed in.

It is still hot here in the afternoons. Early this morning, I felt a faint coolness in the air that seemed like Autumn is slowly arriving here.

I'm hoping not to feel the autumn here too quickly, for that means the colder weather is around the corner too. Our temps today was 75 yet it was quite muggy which normally doesn't happen until the temps rise above eighty, so that was different. And, there wasn't any wind to cool any of us off. We finished our second of the two larger buildings of the condo's today. It went much better than last week since we got it done in one day instead of a day and a half, although we did have another guy to help with the taller balconies. We have mushrooms all summer long in our stores, although the pumpkins have been out for just over one week now and some of the decorations we sell too like corn stalks and hay.

Yes, it has been in the mid 40 degree range the last two mornings and cloudy as well. Anne is in Salem (60 or so miles north) and there was a huge and unusual thunder storm last night. Leaves are falling already too.

@LadyDuck no, Autumn felt here. I am so envious. I hope we see and feel signs of it soon.

I have felt autumn in the air for the last month, even while temps are in the 90s. Sounds grow distant and it is actually a feel in the air.

We don't feel it today as the high is supposed to be in the 90's again. Weatherman says that changes tomorrow.

I can feel the air cooling down at night which is typical of the Ber months here as we approach December. We don't have fall season here.

I spotted some colour the other day. Couldn't help but see glowing red. And that moon, oh my goodness. I can't believe you roast chestnuts. Wonderful.

no, the only 2 seasons we have here are the dry, and the drier. hahaha!

No. I still feel the heat of the weather in my home country. I will not be able to see the Autumn this year. I could smell the chestnuts. I love them roasted.

Here in our country we dont feel season changes like yours. Almost little hot weather we have all over year.... But I like to feel the seasonal changes. I think its awesome. Next you are getting winter, right?
