We are what we think is a truth not only confirmed in the bible, but also by modern research. I have yet to see a person with dark, impure, lustful thoughts doing noble and divine deeds. Each and every deed starts with a thought. It simply cannot be otherwise. Therefore when Jesus made his first public speech, he started revealing the most beautiful and noble mind this world has ever known. Just think long and hard about these words:- Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. Mat 5:25 How much conflict and misery would the world be spared if we followed this advice. ''Agree quickly with your adversary." When Jesus lived on earth he also came into many conflict situations and his sigh towards his heavenly father was:- ''What must I say, what must I do my father to bring peace?'' Then he heard these magnificent words from heaven:''agree quickly.'' On weekends I take people on a river cruise, at the restaurant that our church built to raise funds. One morning one of the waiters came running to me in great turmoil, warning me that a certain couple who booked in the previous night at our hotel, was creating huge problems. They were upsetting everybody wherever they came, complaining about everything. In fact my dear friend the waiter had a harried look on his face, and looked very distressed. When this notorious couple came for their trip on the River Cruiser, I heard these words of Jesus softly in my heart:'' Agree with them quickly.'' What a nice and wonderful trip we had, parting as the best of friends. What was the secret? A few simple words:- ''Agree quickly....'' The most beautiful mind in the world belonged to Jesus Christ.

How can you agree with someone who is rude and creates problems to others? If you agree with the trouble makers, you have to disagree with those who were hurt by them. You cannot please two parties at the same time.

Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. I like your honesty, for there are certain situations where we need to take a firm stand.
