If anyone can explain how the earning add up to me I'd be thankful! I am totally lost and feel dumb lol. Is everything like post and responds one cent? If not how much does it take for a dollar, what does the number's look like to equal a dollar? I'm sure everything you do can't equal one cent. Im new here since last night so I'm very lost. Thanks for any help provided!

mylot keep the actual algorithm secret and have done since the site started ten years ago.
That way they don't need to keep messing people around saying what was one cent for this is now half a cent etc etc.

I'll explain it and you can be assured that I'm right...but many don't seem able to read the faq's or listen to what admin has said so you'll maybe get contradicting statements from others...if that happens I'll ask admin to come and straighten people out as there is so much wrong stuff being talked about the earnings lately.
Basically we don't earn anything for whatever we post be that a discussion, a response or a comment.
We only earn if another member interacts with what we post.
So I'm responding here (still a post) but I'll earn nothing whatsoever.
You'll earn as I'm interacting with what you posted.
If anyone likes or comments back to what I've said here then I'll earn something...if I comment back to them they'll earn and so on and so on
There is no value placed on any interaction so if you get a like or a comment or a response you won't know exactly the monetary value of that interaction....all you'll see is the more people that interact with whatever you post the more you'll earn.
Heres the earning faq section which states this.
"How much can I earn with each discussion, response or comment? - This all depends on how interesting and valuable the myLot community considers it. The more that other myLot users interact with what you post, the more money it will make. If no one reads what you wrote, interacts with it, or otherwise considers it interesting, then you likely won't earn anything."
PS...one dollar looks like $1.0000

Mike likes to explain so I'll let him. Mainly because I wrote a reply and it disappeared into the air.

It's all about interacting with people here. Post a discussion, like and comment posts. Reply to people. It takes time to build up a following of friends who would comment on your discussion. It took me a couple of months last fall to get the hang of it. (My 1-year anniversary is next weekend!)

I learned a lot from this post. I find that it you don't focus on the earnings but just have fun interacting with people the earnings really start to add up.

@Happy2BeMe I think that's an excellent way to look at it and you're right. It kind of goes hand in hand with watching the clock at work when you're just ready to go home. If you watch the clock, it will take forever for the day to end, but if you just focus on something or actually have fun doing something, time flies!

oh..very disappointing to know about that. Here nothing will be in $. The whole day work will sometimes may give you 1 cent. I am still in 2$. What about you? It is something better than nothing. It is not appropriate to expect cent for comments in sociaal networking sites. It is quite common.
