I´m for Brad Pitt. What did really happen inside the plane?

I have been reading about this divorce business between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. And the more I think about it all, the more I´m for Pitt.
I have heard that he has a problem with alcohol. I think that in order to get joint custody of his kids (they are his too) he should take measures to go to a rehab. center.
I also read about the couple yelling to each other about it while on their private plane. Who wouldn´t, when talking about divorce and facing losing the children?
And on top of it all, comes the "agresion" and "abuse" to the children. And in this point I am sure. Nowadays, children do whatever they want. Parents are scared of teaching them because they are afraid that social services will take them away after a demonstration of parenthood as we has years ago. So, nowaays, children have rights but no duties whatsoever. And moreover, parents will use this shameful state of affairs to get custody (and money?) of the children. The parents, in fact, are using the children with the applause of society.
Nowadays, you cannot hold your child firmly if a bus is nearing. If the child cries it is child abuse and any nosy person can tell on you.
What´s your say in this?

Not knowing anything else that may be happening. ..if he lunged at his 15 year old, well who hasn't lunged at their teenager. ..lol. This is what I'm saying: I could never judge based on this one event. It's information delivered in a vacuum, because we don't live with these folks.

I agree. And if a judge will not let Pitt get the joint custody of their kids for something like this (the report done by someone at the airport) he is one stupid judge.

I discipline my children no matter who likes it or not. In public they know if they embarrass me by acting out they will catch it when we get home.
There's a line between abuse and discipline, not many people get that fact anymore. It's a sad world we live in.
I remember my father lunging at my brother because he came home high one day and cursed at my dad. My brother is lucky his girlfriend was in front of him because my dad was really angry!
I'm sure most people who have raised teenagers have done it at one time or another.

I SO agree with you! In my generation, children did not think about calling 911 because their parents made them set the table. Yet things now will end like that and they will be turned into little monsters.

True. What I don´t understand is why people cannot stop from using children in divorce settlements.

Because the children are the strongest weapon any divorcing woman/man can have, not only for more cash but l feel children are being used for "emotional manipulation"

How many times a son or daughter will defend one of their parents in a fight? And are they being abused because of that?

@JustBhem I know. But I was talking about this divorce of celebrities thinking also of the problems that many children have when their parent divorce, even if they are just normal people.

She said.
Hopefully, the truth comes out. I feel sorry for the children but at the end of all of this, they have their millions to go back to so I guess that even things out.

@marguicha perhaps.
News reports are saying that Maddox and Brad were in a disagreement even before boarding the plane. Honestly, if this incident didn't have Hollywood A-listers, this would just be a simple parent-teen altercation with the mom stepping in and then the dad and mom having a fight of their own and then the teenage son stepping back in to protect his mom.

yes there should be certain exceptions put into that law. its ridiculous. some of the reason why children are such brats today more then ever and even the young parents so ignorant about right and wrong cause most of them were raised the same way because of that law

Nowadays every little brat knows his rights, but noone, not even the parents, know that children should obey sometimes and that there are duties too.

I can understand the affair thing. Specially if they accepted the no affairs rule. But I am sure that the man could not abuse his child from one second to the other.

@amadeo That she is. As for abuse, I guess I have been abusing my children all their lives. Like yelling "don´t get near the stove or you´ll be burned". Or making them do their homework before going out to play. Or, worse still, confiscating the TV after an hour of watching it.

@marguicha well I am not sure about the abuse. He may have gotten rough up on some. They have a big family.

I agree. It is just that I think that lately children are placed in the middle of a horrible divorce situation and they shouldn´t.

It seems that using the word abused has gotten so much in other peoples view. I guess I was abusing my child when he was still small when I scolded him when he had done something wrong. Children mostly depend their mothers when quarelling with their fathers. i couldn´t judge Brad Pit and Angelina Jolie as I don´t know them personally. The media is making worse of the said divorce. I pity the children.

I was an abusive mother and now I´m an abusive grandmother. I will not let my children run into some car in the street. And I will not let them yell and cry when they want something.

I say everybody should reserve judgement and not automatically judge him harshly. Angelina knows better than anyone whether he's a fit father, so if she says he goes, he goes. I don't think she'd be the type of person to falsely accuse him of something, though screaming "child abuse" is a great way of getting rid of pesky husbands. So I'd abide by her decision and no one else's.
I totally agree with you about the shameful state things are in, where some kids will call CPS on their parents if they're given chores. How else is a child supposed to learn how to be a functioning member of society?
