A Troubled Country

Is anyone else seriously afraid of where our country is headed? We no longer seem to be the UNITED states. We are completely divided lately. What do you see happening in our future? Should we be worried about a declared war on our own soil, amongst our own people? We already seem to be at war somewhat, but how much worse do you think it will get?

We are like mental patients who used to have occasional mini-breakdowns. Now we seem full-blown sociopathic, paranoid, and filled with self-hatred.
We became the Really Ugly Americans whether we are black, brown, yellow, white, or tanning salon colors.

@Kortneyls. There is always a chance for change. That's my mantra. It can get better.

I agree! Honestly I am so tired of hearing about all of it! I sometimes wonder why I decided to bring kids into this world! I feel bad for them! I wish I could give them the carefree childhood I had. But things are so different for them!

I think it happens every election year, this year is especially bad. Too many people die because the police are scared. It will be interesting to see what happens after the election. The US has a history of race riots and not all of them were black and white. 1863, 1884, 1898, 1919. 1943, 1958, 1965. 1968, 1992 and 2014. Its been going on for a long long time and needs to stop now - real equality would help that to happen..

It is amazing how much elections seem to hurt our country. My husband owns a pool and hot tub store, and you can clearly see a drastic drop in sales every election year! This year has been really stressful for us.
Like you, I am interested to see what happens after the election. I don't know how much will change considering the controversy surrounding the candidates.

@Kortneyls. Wow, they stress our minds and finances, too?
Can't wait til November, the whole month , is over and done.
