How old do you think a kid should be before they get to spend the night at a family members house? How old do you think they should be before they start having sleepovers with unrelated friends?

For family, it could be immediately. Things happen and sometimes baby has to stay with family. To have a sleepover at a friend's? I did that from the second grade. My girls were a bit older. It depends on each child I think.

My son is in the first grade. He had his first sleepover this past weekend. His friend stayed at our house. He got scared, but he didn't want to go home. It took him a long time to fall asleep!

@paigea It did! I was just curious because I read something recently talking about how bad sleepovers are. The article was saying we should not allow our children to have sleepovers anymore, and it said they are becoming a thing of the past!
