What if the internet had never been developed? / myLot

What if the Internet didn't exist, how far back in technology and understanding would humans be? How much that we have today, would still exist if we had not developed the Internet? Is the Internet taken for granted?

I suppose if the Internet did not exist we would be non the wiser and still think we had advanced technology. The world would seem much bigger and we would not know the fun of inter continental friendships.
