I feel Marriage controls our life.Whatever we wish to do or pursue gets subjected to Marriage once we get married. I also feel that this is one of the reasons that encourage people to get separated so as to secure the lost "Freedom"
What do you think ?

I think attitudes towards marriage are tied in with old religious ideology. There's so much focus on obedience, being 'under the thumb', control and very little tolerance if someone makes a mistake in a marriage. I think this is enough to frighten many people. I think the best marriages are the ones which recognise that the human spirit and imagination cannot be constrained by strict rules and allow more freedom. It's possible to be loving and supportive in a marriage without a person losing their individuality, I think.

You should control your marriage mixed with faith and not marriage control you, that's my simple secret why I had been married to only one beautiful woman for a very long time

My only issue with marriage is that some people believe that marriage completes a person. Marriage is a given in a person's life. The more I hear it more I become defiant to not get married!!! Ever!!!

I guess it depends on the reason why you marry. And that has changed with time too.

Hello there.
Marriage is an equal partnership.
Marriage is a union of 2 people.
When we marry the first thing we have to do is think about our spouse first.
It's not about losing freedom because we choose to marry.
We choose to have to consider someone else.
This does not mean we stop thinking about ourselves though.
It's about compromise. Not loss of freedom.
I think that marriages break up for all sorts of reasons.
People fall out of love.
People maybe marry for wrong reasons
I guess to that many people do think that being married stops them doing as they please.
If you get married still believing you can do as you please then the marriage is usually doomed unless your spouse doesn't mind you doing as you please.
Marriage or partnership where two people really love each other and empathise with each other fully will seldom encounter " freedom " issues.
Marriage is a wonderful thing but not always easy to get used to.
It's like anything else - it needs both people to commit to it or it won't work.
