How do you cope with being stressed out? For me I honestly cope with stress in multiple ways, but one of my favorite ways is popping a set of earbuds in while drowning out everyone with music! Alot of the time i get super stressed due to juggling so many errands and activities a day that sometimes a walk and a bit of fresh way does the trick!

I make sure that I always have something in my life (usually a project) that I can do during my alone time at the end of a busy day. I refinish vintage loudspeakers or practice a musical instrument. During the day, I find that talking to kind strangers relieves stress, so I never wear headphones or earbuds when I'm out of the house.

Talking to strangers makes me nervous! New people make me feel very uncomfortable in person.

Listen to some nice music from the 1970s, try to read some Christian books on how to handle cretins that have an attitude that their perfume does not smell or trolls on this site by telling them "hating me makes me famous. Ask Chris Patch of WG Ventures fame." Then have a good laugh since comic Charlie Chaplin said that laughing at your pain cures your stress levels.

Like you I listen to my favorite music too. Volumes up and ignore the world. If the music is not enough I also eat chocolates which is one of my comfort food.

@Bella27 wow. That's a huge weight loss. Diabetes runs in the family, I don't know if I am diabetic too but I only eat chocolate once or twice a month.

Chocolate used to be my go to! I loved chocolate but recently found out I'm prediabete and had to give up sugars! The medication i was on wasn't acting right to prevent diabetes so I couldn't take it! Ended up losing 80lbs so far and lost another 3lbs this week!

@LittleLiar yeah it is. I feel so much better but still pushing to lose 50lbs, I went from 280 down to 200 and I want to be 150. A lot of exercise still left ahead of me.

That is a great way to deal with stress. To be honest how I deal with stress is by eating and shopping. Neither of which is healthy. Maybe I will try this sometime. Thanks for sharing.

I used to direct my focus to food in order to make me happy. Which I knew was bad, until I had blood work done and my doctor said if I kept on I'd be a diabetic on shots in less then five years. I've watched my aunt lose her limbs to diabetes and it has always been my fear. When my doctor told me that , I knew my food addiction was a horrible life factor. So now I've lost over 80lbs, and what really helped me was not only fear but knowing I eat to survive I don't eat to feel. It's help me become very aware. But nothing is easy, and bad habits is extremely hard to break.

Music works really well for me. I'm on antidepressants, so the stress issues aren't as bad as they were four months ago -- thank God! I also pray and meditate. I'm taking Koru meditation classes now to help, as well.

@Bella27 That's a good one. But there's no way I can walk my indoor cat, unless it's inside.

Stress is a condition that is often characterized by symptoms of physical or emotional tension. It is a reaction to a situation where a person feels threatened or anxious. Stress can be positive (preparing for a wedding) or negative (dealing with a natural disaster). For me I handle stress by taking care of myself. I talk to others. I share my problems on how I feel and how I cope with my parents, my wife, and with my friends And lastly I take a break...

I go out alone for a nice cup of coffee with a book!! Trust me, it gives me a breather, where i can analyze things much clearly. And also i tell myself, whatever is causing me the stress, will hardly matter after few days or months. And this thought has helped me a lot to sail out in rough times.

Usually I am not stressed, but when I am, I walk here and there and talk endlessly. Sorry, its not coping actually, whereas your topic was about coping. But, I am trying to say, I seriously have nil idea how to cope up with it!

Basic stress really. Like being able to cover bills, being able to cope with life struggles. For me my struggles would be my disabled boyfriend and my grandma. I juggle work and taking care of both of them.

WELL ! I COPE UP WITH STRESS BY EATING ICE . YEAH " THE ICE ". SOUNDS WEIRD RIGHT ! I eat ice till i dont feel sensitive in my teeth and my mouth does not feel numb . I eat ice as a snack , I can eat ice at any time . the reason is very logical , as ice does not have any nutritional value , especially it does not have any sort of FATS in it. People usually eat icecreams and chocolates and other junk food , but I EAT ICE . ITS FUN , YOU SHOULD TRY IT SOMETIME :D !
