I’ve been making and posting free posters for teachers to use in their classrooms for four weeks now. This is an example of one I made today. I’m using photos I've taken in the last couple of years and layering famous quotes on them. It’s simple and easy to do. I was having lots of trouble using Paint, both the one that came with my laptop and one I downloaded. I think computer people make things difficult so they can feel superior to us mere mortals. Somehow I discovered PicMonkey.com. It is very simple and intuitive to use. I absolutely love it. I can whip out five posters in no time. I’m posting them one at a time on my website RoadToFreeCollege.com . Once a week I bundle five together and post them on TeachersPayTeachers.com for free downloads. Why should teachers pay for posters they put up in their classrooms? Why should they have to pay for any instructional supplies? It’s a disgrace. I’m doing my part to help put this right. Have you done your part to make sure kids get what they need in school without teachers having to pay?

Teachers pay for many things... the local primary school is seeking to put that right by passing on the true value of some services to parents... It is an uphill struggle though. Well done on the posters, super idea.

Teacher usually pay for everything in their rooms with their own paychecks. This has to stop!

@silvermist Imagine working somewhere and being expected to buy the supplies for the business out of your paycheck. It's depressing when you know that the entire society knows this is happening and does nothing to change it.

Paint is a pain, I have always used freeware graphic programs that are all better than Paint. Your poster looks beautiful and I like the quote, highly motivating.

Good for you! Your poster idea is wonderful as is your poster. Having been a teacher, I can't tell you how many thousands of dollars of my own money to buy my students clothes, supplies, and rewards.

I have Paint on my computer too but haven't bothered with it. I'm making a note of PicMonkey as well.
