As the Holidays are quickly approaching, I thought I'd ask what your favorite holiday is and what you love so much about it?
I'm not sure exactly what it is, but Christmas time, and Christmas music always makes me feel happy even when I'm sad. The lights, the joyus music, the overall warmth I feel inside make Christmas my very favorite holiday.
How about you?

Definitely Christmas. There is just such a magical feel about. I love all the hustle and bustle. I love the music, the decorations and all the smiling faces. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year.

You couldn't be more right @Happy2BeMe it really is magical. Now, that said LOL I do not go out to town to do my Christmas shopping anymore, I do most of that from the comfort of my own home when possible and fight those crowds since not everyone shares our love for the Christmas season, and the world has kinda gone mad. Such a shame.

@ThatWifeyLife sadly for so many people it is all about material things and they have forgotten about what Christmas is all about. It is the simple things that make it so wondeful.

@Happy2BeMe You couldn't be more right. I mean, don't get me wrong...I have a son so watching him open gifts n such, brings me joy as his face lights up but the basic elements of the holiday season are what make it my favorite time of the year.

I used to prefer Christmas, but now I think that I have more fun in my birthday.

@skysnap ohh you're the first to say Halloween. I've been waiting for someone to say that. It was kind of the reason I started this discussion. I know a lot of people in real life who are crazy about Halloween, but you really only hear people speak about Christmas as a favorite holiday for the most part.

Christmas is a sentimental time for me really, with not many good memories until my daughter (adopted) was born when I was 48, then there were other things of one kind or another after that. Like many others, I think that Christmas is something to get through, though I enjoy some of the (non-religious) music.

Awww, ? That's awesome @ your daughter being born and helping to create more positive memories for you for the Christmas season. I'm not super big into religious music (I dont mind it, it's just I'm not an overly religious person)

Halloween and then Christmas. I love all the spooky costumes, candy, parties, decorations and most of all the movies. I love the snow, hot chocolate, and decorating for Christmas.

@ThatWifeyLife I love haunted houses. I like the cold so I really enjoy the snow. It doesn't snow much in my hometown, but my college town is in the mountains and it snows a lot here. The roads stay pretty clear up here since the college sits between two of the biggest ski slopes in NC.

Do you like going to haunted houses @ Halloween time Casey? And snow, I'm not crazy about snow. It's pretty to look at but where I live we get a lot sometimes and ice, and nobody knows how to drive in it lol.
