Why Are They Always Too Early?

Yesterday, we attended the 50th wedding anniversary of MIL and auntie's cousin in a posh resort in the next town to my hometown. It was for 3:00 in the afternoon, so we agreed that we should be travelling by 2:15 . But at 1:15 hubby told me to dress up because the two women were already dressed and waiting at the sala. What, this early! So, i hurriedly dressed up and just tied my hair. We arrived there an hour earlier. Hubby, just consoled me by taking our pictures at the wooden swing at the entrance of the venue, as you can see in the picture. Does being old means always anxious to go early for an occasion? The seniors at home including my FIL are like this .

Can't help changing my pose because hubby took a picture of us 3 times . It seems though this old iPad isn't functioning well because it won't let me attach a picture from my gallery . I posted this at mobile phone .

@SIMPLYD I guess you have to resort to the trick of uploading it first to FB then download the pic from FB and upload it to Mylot afterwards.

Lovely pic! I guess the older generation values time and doesn't like to be late unlike the younger ones who are so absorbed by their primadonna ways.

Yes, i have known of some too . I don't like it that way . I can be early but only for about 5-10 minutes . More than an hour is a torture already . Good thing , it's a big resort . We left the two seniors by the garden and went around the resort .

Good morning my lady. You look so awesome with your short hair. Artistahin. I think it is better to be early than late but I agree to be early for 15 to 30 minutes only not an hour or more. Punctuality is a virtue, right?

@simplyd my mom is 60 years old and she's always early for her appointments. I never saw her get late on any of her meetings. I'm really amazed with her self discipline. She been doing that even before she reached 60 so I think it's a habit she developed overtime.

One hour before the meeting and you should expect her to be at the venue waiting and relaxing. She said that she just don't like rushing and getting stressed.

LOL you reminded me of my mom .. she would always be ready on time and then grumble at my sisters in law for taking ever so long.. But the scenario is different here .. My sis in law would always be late.

Very nice picture, I like the wooden swing. I think it's a matter of habits. My husband is always too early. When he makes plans he always set the starting time hours before needed. He has always done this, even when he was young.

Yes, the wooden swing was very nice indeed . We just sat there and have a swing while we conversed . But auntie , have to go to the garden because t was much fresher there . Really, you husband is like ha since he was younger . But then , they are always like this when they attend the anticipated mass on Saturdays . The mass would be at 6:00 and travel time to the city's mall where they hear mass is just 15 minutes . They would go at 4:00 then eat snacks at the food court and sit by the benches near the closed former theater , until it opens to the mass goers at 5:30. Imagine wating for ne hour . That's why i just go to church on Sundays .

@SIMPLYD Every time we had to catch our International Flight to New York, that was to leave at 11 am, we were at the airport at 7 in the morning. Can you imagine that? He was so scared to be late that we finally waited for hours.

@LadyDuck Well , when it comes to flight being early as much as 2 hours is a must . So, o can understand your husband being that way when you will be having your flights.

We have the same issue with my grandma. She always comes like an hour or two early. I guess when people tend to get older, they begin to realise the value of time and close relationships that's why they feel like they need to be early for them to have a longer time to bond with their family and friends.

I've always been an early person, and when I'm not the first to arrive for a family function, they get worried about me, which happened last Thanksgiving. I was the last to arrive. I try not to leave too early, but it always happens I'm early.
