From my understanding, Pakistanis have hardly had any control over what their leaders have been doing. Not that Indians have, but we are slightly better off.
If we block water into Pakistan, we starve people who may actually be against the policies of their government. Effectively, our allies!
We hurt the poor, the belly of any country.
It would be so much below belt! What options would they have remaining with them? Take up arms of course.....more terrorism to tackle?
So who do we hurt when we do not think humanely...
Not to mention the corresponding actions and sanctions that will affect India...
I am against blocking water to Pakistan.

Well it goes like this, what goes up must come down and you can't expect a good thing for a bad deed

@vandana7 what the govt does is simply another affair but if the authorities make people suffer they ultimately suffer too and obviously the reaction to things are based on circumstances and surely the next war will be on water.
For the night is dark and the storm is coming #game of thrones

@Loverabbit ... True....governments just want to tell people hey, look we are strong and we hit them at their jaw...whatever. But ultimately, people suffer and that is not nice.

Is this discussion about the Kashmir region? Pardon my lack of knowledge but I think that is very strategic when it comes to water supply in the region, even China has some kind of conflict there or I'm not sure who owns what and who does the incursions, very confusing

@vandana7 yes but that's the sad fact about a war or conflict, hit the enemy where it hurts, the same international party is responsible why East and West Pakistan seceded and later formed what is now Bangladesh, it's a messed up world that we no longer know what to believe

Agree with you, water is for everyone who needs it's, blocking the water to Pakistan will surely affect the innocents, maybe i guess there are some more others ways of solving a problem, i just need more understand about the problem, leaders should think more option on how to solve this problem. I'm from Philippines and me too is against on blocking water to Pakistan.

I had actually expected you to do this post and was wondering what's taking so long!
And just like before, I will take a back seat or simply lie down. Have become lazy...lol
You are confusing the non-participants a lot. I wish I find something to tell. The fun begins...

Need not worry. They got the support of China and Russia also. The China will block the river Indus as it starts from there. So nothing will be practical.

You might have meant the river Brahmaputra... Also, don't count on Russia's support to Pakistan!
