Well, it's beautiful here anyway, though it's supposed to get up into the 90s later in the day. I'm going to grade more papers, do one progress note, and keep working on these 1960ish Acoustic Research AR-3s that were brought to me for restoration. Later in the afternoon, I'm going hiking with a friend.
Yesterday evening, I wound up taking my young neighbor friend to Guitar Center where I showed him the amplifier (Fishman) and keyboard (Yamaha) I'm thinking of getting. He was shy around the other adults there, but enjoyed the musical instruments. We did a "duet" on piano where he banged out bass notes and I played over them. I also showed him some mandolins and ukes, which are kid sized.
I'll attach a picture of the AR-3s as they looked a few minutes ago. The visible surfaces are sanded down, and I just did another "water treatment" on them. I should have them finished within a few days.

You are doing a great job with those speakers. I went out sooner today to remove some plants from the vegetable garden and de-weed. I thought it was safe to stay outside, the nights are cold, I supposed the mosquitoes were gone. Big mistake

You're good with the kids. Its warm enough out and sunny. We've done some weed pulling and brought the garbage can in from the road and hubby pounded a fence post into the saggy part of Peter donkey's fence. Got to do while its shirt sleeve weather! Last but not last we ate lunch out on the deck swing.

They'll look good when finished. Sounds like you had a busy weekend. My weekend was busy, at least yesterday was. I got a lot accomplished around the homestead and my sister and brother-in-law visited. Today - church and then watched the Packers beat Detroit in what turned out to be a close game 34-27.

Looks like the Packers were in control and the Lions rallied late. Was the outcome ever in doubt? I haven't watched a second of football today! Kind of glad to see the Raider go to 2-1. An the 49ers are...well, let's call it "rebuilding."

@TheHorse Good term for it. It started to become doubtful when the Lions came within a touchdown of tying the game, but all ended good for the Packers. It wasn't a dull game. We have a bye this week, which is very early in the season for that. I don't think we've ever had such an early bye before.
