Okay, you can identify the era by my 80s glasses. This is a picture of my daughter and I. I usually wore contact lenses back then, and you can see why lol. But back then I wasn't too embarrassed by it, because everybody who had eyeglasses had ones that would look goofy later.
Do you wear glasses? Ever had any that looked goofy later? Or even now? I want to see!

I can't lose my glasses because I can't see at all without them. The only good feature about being this nearsighted.

@CinnamonGrl I am with you. I would need help walking very far if I had no glasses on my face.

I used to love wearing contact lenses when I lived in the US. Then when I moved to Latvia I discovered that contacts can get quite expensive so now I wear glasses again but never think about eyeglass fashion.

I never wore glasses until these last two years when I've had to use reading glasses. I seem to be wearing them more and more now though so I guess glasses might become a permanent thing for me soon. In the 80s I remember having some massive sun glasses that must've been the fashion then.

@CinnamonGrl The good thing about them was that if you were rather shy, you could hide behind them.

I wear eyeglasses in my elementary days. But I always get into the shower with eyeglasses on. I don't like wearing them anymore because they are a hindrance to all my activities. Until now, I only have reading glasses.

I have worn glasses since third grade. The ones I started out in look goofy now but were the norm for that era. Same with a dress that I remember. Now people would laugh at a little girl wearing big balloony sleeves but then it was what came off a department store rack.

I started wearing reading glasses in 1993 and probably needed them.for over a decade before that! I have always gone for quite subtle designs. If I had worn them in the 80s I would never have gone for that red-braces-red-frames look (I believe what we call braces, you call suspenders!)

Yes, I do wear glasses and contact lenses. The pair I had before I got newer ones people said were old fashioned. I fell and they broke so needed a new pair. I prefer my contact lenses but glasses are easier to put on and off.

I used to wear them when I was still studying. When I started working, my vision has improved.
