Thats a sad thing to hear that people in you society are still very backward.. there is a considerable amout of society groups in any country who is still bothered by the idea of having children out of wedlock but in reallity their a bunch of moralist and idealist .

@iamsopia it is not about the society this is more about culture, each and every country follows a culture and a tradition , i am aware of the fact that there are many single mothers.

In some places the belief systems are still stopping their own progress....it might take a while for this to be accepted. Being of this generation i see no problem with it. ...but where we live...the older minds won't change easy .

Hello there Oh. What do I think about children who were born out of wedlock.? Probably much the same as I think about children born to parents who are married. I say this because I see no differences in the children at all. Born out of wedlock doesn't always mean that a child is brought up by a lone parent to start with. Then I think that the majority of lone parents do a fine job child raising. 2 of my son's were born out of wedlock and they are fine young men now. I think the percentage of kids born out of wedlock in the United Kingdom is relatively high. I see no evidence at all that children here in the United Kingdom born out of wedlock are looked down on or lack the respect of their peer group or society in general. I think at one time decades ago there was a certain stigma attached to bei g born out of wedlock which did have repercussions for both parent and child but thankfully we are not in the dark ages anymore Marriage isn't for everyone and many people here in the United Kingdom plan to have babies whilst not married. My partner and I did. I understand Indian culture and our culture are different but in time attitudes to children born out of wedlock and their parents in India will change.. India has changed much on recent years and social change will follow. My final point is this. Blaming a child for his parents not being married or his mother being single and perhaps stereotyping her is counter productive. Isn't it?
