a few years ago, someone told me that the professor at a local college said "pregnant women should stay away from cats". when a pregnant women has cats living in her house it is harmful to the unborn baby. I did not believe that until recently when this young lady had 3 live in cats while pregnant. When the first child was born he was born autistic(i hope that's how you spell it). When that child was 4, he looked 1, so he didn't grow like normal kids. She had 2 more kids and they were born the same way. stay away from cats while being pregnant.

I think it mostly has to do with allergies. But I don't have to worry about that cause I don't like cats.

my mom is suffering from asthma and we used to have lots of cats in our house. But since cat's fur triggers her allergy and asthma we decided to give aways our cats...

I don't see any reason that a cat's fur would be dangerous unless you are allergic to cats. I have never heard this before. I have been living with cats for about 17 years, and I pet them all the time; I'm as healthy as anyone else. Don't worry about it.
