Taste Buds

I have a draw full of new shopping with a mixture of chocolates and sweets. I also have the urge for pizza and pasta, but guess what my taste buds have gone due to my awful viral infection. Had it for a week and still my taste buds are not back.
One the plus side my temperature has gone down, I just need to get rid of the runny nose and my dry chesty cough.
Can't wait until my taste comes back! Any idea on how to get them back faster? I heard sour things help, but don't want to risk that due to my bad throat.

@Drosophila I had heard that too but hadn't done much research on it. It is interesting to know how it works.

A drawer full of chocolate and sweets? That wouldn't last a day in my house, with or without taste buds!! Hope you recover soon.

Get well soon dear
But the fact is u will still take 15days to get back in form
The running nose n cough will get extremely irritating but don't give lose strength
Be positive
And the taste buds shall resume their work as d cold subsides

They´ll come back! Don´t worry. The worst is when you have your taste buds waiting, but you shouldn´t

I think it just has to happen naturally...it shouldn't last much longer. Feel better.
