I have admitted it before and I will admit it again – occasionally, I play the lottery. Not with any real expectation of winning, of course, but just for the fun of it and the “what if” tease that comes when some of my numbers pop up.Winning the lottery can be a dream come true, but only 1 in almost 200 million people actually win. So if you win the Lottery tomorow, what would you do?

The first thing I would do is to not let anyone know I had won. Then I guess I would help out our kids and grandkids, but I wouldn't just hand them a lot of money. That has ruined many a life.

It depends on where you live whether or not you can actually do that...that is, keep it a secret. The state I live in now does not allow you to remain anonymous. Although a recent big winner did sue the state and won and was able to keep the money and remain anonymous...so who knows. But if I had a choice I would definitely want to remain anonymous.

I have played it and have never won. If by chance I did win first of all I would probably be in shock for awhile and then when realized what happened I would see if could buy where we live and insulate it and donate money to animal shelters and for shelters for abused people.

Oh. I am the same way. I play for the fun and part of the fun is just the very, very, very minute possibility that I could win the big one. I'd invest 90% of my winnings. I refuse to be one of those statistics of lottery winners who lose it all within a few years. Luckily I already invest and already know my way around the stock market. Keeps me from potentially making bad decisions that might contribute to me being a statistic.
