I love watching movies but every time someone asks if I have watched harry potter I deny. Their reaction implies that I have done a crime. I would love to check it out but will it be worth it? Is it really good or it's just overrated I want to know your opinion.

@Mike197602 I may be wrong but i think third Harry potter movie that is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban directed by Alfonso CuarĂ³n is as good as the book, other movies are ok like you mentioned.

@seerat_11 They're certainly worth reading. The first couple are geared to younger people but as the series moves on the style changes with the age of the protagonists.

Harry Potter books are excellent, but after all its for children/young adults, so there are mixed reviews from adult readers. If you like reading young adult books like Percy Jackson, Hunger Games then you will love Harry Potter books.

Watch it...it is a nice series of movies. Why let someone else's opinion impact your choices.? If you want to watch it...go ahead. I have many memories attached to the whole series...so i love them no matter what.
