Tomorrow I have guests, the menu is already decided as per their request.
Spinach and cheese cannelloni and chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes.
As they were too much undecided about the dessert, they asked to me to prepare what I think it's the best.
I am going through the photos of the latest desserts I have made to pick up ideas.
In my photo, from top left to bottom right:
- Double chocolate mousse
- Orange custard tartlets, with chocolate shaped spoon
- Apple and puff pastry roses
- Strawberry cheesecake
If I asked you to choose, which one would you like more?

It is a torture to decide, they all look delicious. Chocolate mousse is one of my preferred dessert and you cannot be wrong if you offer a chocolate mousse, but I think that I would taste the pastry roses that I have never had before, it looks like a piece of art.

my first choice would be the strawberry cheesecake, but i'm willing to try the apple and the orange because they're unique and i might not be able to taste them again.
if you say the apple is the easiest to make, then go for it, since you already have so many things to do, before, during and after.

@hereandthere I have a silicon mold. I melt the chocolate in the mold and let rest until completely cooled down. They are very easy to make.

@Juliaacv Chocolate is always a bit tricky to work. If you overheat, or if it enter in contact with water, it turns into a grainy, clumpy mess. I have the habit to make the mousse and it's not difficult to make. The important is to melt the dark chocolate at no more than 120 F and the white at 110.

@MarymargII I made the roses and cheesecake for my guests yesterday, but hubby asked for the mousse for one of the next days. I love to bake.

@LadyDuck All desserts look delicious but I'm personally not a fan of chocolate mousse hehe. Next up I would Apple and puff pastry roses (looks beautiful), then the Orange custard tartlets, with chocolate shaped spoon (love the touch of chocolate spoon touch) & lastly the mousse!

@infatuatedbby The apple roses look beautiful and are easy to make so I am going for them, because I have also to prepare the cannelloni.

I would go with either one or number two since chocolate is my thing.

I'd be interested in trying out the apple and puff pastry roses. THey look and sound interesting, but I'd probably enjoy any of these.

Strawberry cheese cake and double chocolate mousse. You should bake professional or have your own food channel on ytube.
