A little upset

So my friend in my husbands group of friends is having a baby very soon and threw a baby shower yesterday. They invited my husband but not me which hurts because now I know where I rate in his group of friends. Because I didn't get an invite, my husband decided we still bought a baby gift but didn't go to the baby shower. We will give the gift soon. It's very cute. I'm still hurt about this but how would you feel and react to something like this?

@carebear29 So it wasn't like one of those "If he comes, you come" sort of deals? Were you told not to come? Did the friends maybe assume that if your husband was invited, that you'd come anyway?
I'm sorry for you feeling upset. Quite rude of them to be like that.

Nope. I even told my husband if I didn't get an invite, I am not just going to invite myself unless told by them

@carebear29 That's understandable. Man this is actually annoying me. I know it's not the same but I remember in high school, MY so called friends would invite my then boyfriend out without me. I'm just not fond of people like your husbands friends. I don't like snotty immature unfair weasels like that.

Wow that is so mean. But I guess I will feel hurt also, but I will rather ignore it and just focus on the positive side of life. There is so my things we have to do than focus on this things that is not matter at all when times had past.

That;s rude - first of all, aren't baby showers supposed to be JUST for the women in the family? I've actually never gone to a baby shower where a man was present. It was always just women. So ya, that's weird and I would be super offended. I would say something to them. How rude.

It can be for just women but I see a lot of men going nowadays.

I never get invited anywhere when it comes to his boys. I am used to it due to 2 of his friends ex's (2 different boys)

@carebear29 I am also jealous of you.....I still have to find a life partner who would be like your husband....I mean just like your husband's behaviour...I think you understand what I want to say

I don't understand that at all. You should have been invited!! I'm not sure how I feel about the giving of a gift... maybe do it personally when the baby arrives and it's from you too!!

Right. But it was nice of my husband not to go because I wasn't invited. Told him he didn't have to.

Why they didn't invite you? When people are married you invite both.
