If Chemo kills, why have it?

Thank you. When Nuclear Docs said I need to have 3-series of radioactive iodine ablation, I immediately agreed. So we sourced the funds as there is no hospital here which could give it for free. It was not easy as the amount was beyond our means. But, with God's mercy, we had the funds. I had the treatment. I thought once the series is completed I will be cancer-free. No. It was just the start of more tests, more tablets & capsules, more expenses, more sleepless nights!

It's been. It still is, most of my difficult breathing moments @JudyEv .

Thank you, Dr.! Am happy for your grandMa. I hope she'll not have a recurrence. Got 3 of that now. The 1st time my Docs said that I was cancer-free made me jump like crazy. But, it recurred after few months. The treatment cycle went on again. After more than 2 years, my Docs said I was cancer-free again. But, after few months, it's back again. More meds & treatments again. Now, it's on remission again. Whew! BTW, thank you for your prayers. I really need those.

I have papillary (follicular variant) cancer of the thyroid, Dr. @amitkokiladitya . I had this since 2001.

@KnehKnah Hope you found some good information about helping yourself heal naturally! There are many natural things we can do even if we are also using what some call 'modern medicine' it seems.

Been into it for quite sometime now, Ms. @PatZAnthony . Bragg's apple cider vinegar with honey is helping me a lot. Energy wise.

Yes, my dear Anna. Chemo is the only hope for cure for those whose cancer is unlike my thyroid cancer. And, out of 10 persons I know who had/having it, only 1 is alive until now.

@KnehKnah That is the sad truth about the treatment and might be why so many are now looking for natural ways to help fight this horrible disease.

You are correct, Ms. @PatZAnthony . Chemo is so expensive. And the sad thing there is, maybe 90% of patients undergoing it die, sooner or later. If not because of pain or other difficulties, from complications.

Chemo kills both the bad cells & the good cells, thus, after a while, kills the patient too!

@KnehKnah We drink guanabana pulp (after blending it to make it into a drink) when we can find it here. It is supposed to be a great cure for many things.

Yes, my dear Arbie. Plus cucumber at times. I also drink guyabano tea (from fresh leaves, just washed well, etc.), eat guyabano fruit, no meat, etc., I know those are helping.

Oh, if we only have it here, Ms @PatZAnthony , I will definitely make that concoction too! Anything that promises cure, my friend. Aside from prayers. Anything!

No problem po, my dear @annierose . Am getting used to hear dear relatives, friends, neighbors & acquaintances with cancer who die because of their ailment. Most of them, only in a span of months after diagnosis. Been crying for them.

Indeed, my friend! Radiation killed my cancer cells, thanks God! But, I am now suffering from its side effects. Too bad to think about, much more to elaborate.

Some friends of mine say that too. How I wish there is a better cure for cancer than chemo.
