Trance Music, yay or nay?

The trance scene has become huge over the last few years here in Cape Town, South Africa. An invisible scene that started out with a hand full of people gathered around a caravan, with one or two dj's and a couple of speakers. It has grown insanely over the lat 5 years, with thousands of people flocking to deserted locations - but is it still the same? I've been attending these parties for years - for the music - but now it's become a place for people to expose how much drugs they can take or how wasted they can get on alcohol. Is it the same around the world? Is there anyone on here who attend/attended these parties?
