Not Often That A Bizarre Serial Killer Gets Past Me but this one seems to have done just that. I am fascinated with serial killers. What makes them do what they do? What happened to them in their lives that makes it easy for them to do such horrific things. I feel sorry for them in that they never have a normal life or know what a normal life is.
Here's one for the books. His name is David Parker Ray and he lived in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. He was said to have devised a $100,000 customized torture chamber out in the middle of no where. Known as the "Toy-Box Killer"police say he probably killed 60 women though no bodies were ever found. He called the implements he used in the "toy box" his friends. Those were whips, chains, surgical blades, saws, straps, pulleys, clamps, leg spreader bars, and who knows what all else. He had several different accomplices and his daughter
even helped him to torture one of the victims.
One victim that escaped got to the police and Ray was arrested the same day. He was sentenced 224 years. He was never convicted of any murders but for seduction, kidnapping, sexual torture, etc.
On murdepia.com is says this about his tortures: "Inside the torture room, along with numerous sex toys, torture implements, syringes and detailed diagrams (made by Ray himself) showing different methods and techniques for inflicting pain, there was a homemade electricity generating device that was used in torture. Ray would often have a recorded audio tape of himself played for his victims whenever they regained consciousness."
What a guy, huh? There is no therapy for what he was diagnosed with which is paraphilia, or psycho-sexual disorder. Also known as sexual sadism.

True. My mom had what I think was a good idea for such evil. When I was child and we watched a lot of westerns where the bad guys were so bad .......She would say they needed to be tied up by there thumbs and then skinned alive. I tend to agree.

What they do is not the fascination. The reason they do it is. What makes them this way, what happened in their lives or what is missing that makes them this way.

I wonder what he did with the remains, and I hope all of the families know that their loved one isnt lost but gone, (but hopefully not how)

I wonder that too. Not sure how a family would/should feel after something like this.

Several thoughts emerge after reading this. First thing is that everybody cannot know and feel about what is happening in other peoples' minds. It is good to show concern for abnormal people. But abnormality does not mean that we should allow them to do whatever. We can work collectively to help these people to live a normal life. We are away from love, kindness, humanity and God that may be the reasons to make people cruel and abnormal. But we should also realize that such people may have a chemical imbalance in their brains so we should have sympathy about them. We should help them not do anything hurtful to others or to themselves.

I think they live in their own heads too much. And, they have had a bad beginning.
