I recently took the Myers Briggs personality test (MBTI). Based on a questionnaire, you are allotted one out of sixteen personality types. While no simple generalisation of the convoluted human nature can be made, the results might surprise you. Do share your personality type in the comments and your thoughts about it.
P.S. - I got INTJ

Took this test a while back. Got INFJ. Interesting that we're supposed to be empaths and yet Hitler was apparently an INFJ. Not sure how seriously to take these things.

Empathy can be twisted. You could refer to Mein Kampf to the time when Hitler was in Habsburg Vienna.

That is a very rare type. Altruistic and idealistic at the same time. Considering the kind of intensity that INFJs hold their beliefs with, they do tend to get extremely devoted and emotional about a cause they invest time in.

I have heard of that test. I'm not taking it. I already know my personality type is INFLX. Inflexible. No matter what the results I won't believe them and I won't change.

Did you try the test out? If yes, what was the result? Do you agree with it?

@XinfulThotz Congratulations! You're in line for presidential candidacy xD . Although I've always had great respect for Mr. Lee Kuan Yew. I believe he was a great man.

Well, of course it can never be absolute. But it's ultimately based on your reflex thought. Also, it is imperative to fill up the questionnaire keeping in mind "what you are" and not "what you would like to be".

@TheAythingGuy i agree... and some questions, you just don't know what u do exactly, because there is no rule for anyone, that i will act like this only. Most of the things we do are situation based

@shaynas Precisely! Although most people tend to develop a general reflex with the passage of time. You might have noticed that some people tend to be extremely impulsive to every piece of information you share with them whereas others display a very subtle reaction to it. Another difference lies in the intensity of approach. People could pursue the same goal with very different apparent and actual intensity. So, yes, situations do govern the aberrations in general behaviour but people do tend to have specific inclinations, which in turn are categorised in the MBTI.

@hereandthere thanks! Yes this is quite objective. I have been observing Rodrigo Duterte and feel that he is an ENTJ to quite an extent.

I've done these in the past and they are very interesting. I can't remember now how I came out but I was on the side of 'logical' rather than creative and 'introvert'. Can't remember the others.

You could certainly try it out again. It does provide an interesting insight although it is nearly impossible to generalize human predicament in absolute terms.

I am not sure about its comparative reliability since I am not well aware of the other personality tests. But, I do believe this one has sufficient substance in it to be able to decipher a person's general response to everyday situations.

INFP here. I like mbti. It cutely speaks in this unknown confusing language that I understand. The human mind is too complicated, yes. 16 personality types isn't enough to define us, yes.. But on a personal level, I shockingly relate to my 'allegedly' fellow INFPs online. I don't really stereotype and generalize people's personalities but it's fun to MBTypeIndicate people. I like mbti typing people irl secretly. Hahaha
