Once I asked my friend, why did he leave his gf, and he answered , "She is aggressive to me that I dislike." I don't know why he didn't like an aggressive girl. What's your thought about this case? Is being aggressive a bad personality?

so what did he mean by aggressive? does she hurt him physically, scratching, smacking, pinching? does she shout at him, insult him, in public and among friends and family? does she want him to always be at her beck and call? does she want to always be the decision maker on where they go, what they do?

@Ayuriny was she behaving like that when they were just getting to know each other, during the courtship/dating stage?

My friend told me that his ex gf always shouted at him, be at her back, and be the decision maker. Those personalities of hers made him give up, and he left her.

Being aggressive all the time is bad for health. being passive aggressive all the time is bad.

It depends who they are being aggressive with and why how and where. Does the other person have the same type of personality and style, then it might be alright. If not, then it's not a level playing field and therefore cowardly.

That's right. If they both have different personality, so the aggressiveness will ruin their relationship.

It depends how the person is displaying their aggression. If she was being aggressive towards him physically, like pushing or hurting him, that is not okay. On the other hand, sometimes you have to be aggressive with people who are trying to get in your face or intimidate you. You have to choose when it is appropriate to do this.

It could fall under the "too much" category for some people. I don't think i like it as a personality characteristic either.

it actually depends upon the situation. if your at a job, it is good to be aggressive at times to get clients. and it is also helpful to be aggressive on relationships at times. but then again, anything that is too much is bad.

Aggressive nature is not easy to deal with. I, personally won't like someone being aggressive every now and then over me. The relationship doesn't go smooth.

@RitzzView Yeah, of course the way the male expresses his anger is different with the way a female do.

@Ayuriny I just imagined aggressive girl till now..as you mentioned about ypur friend, i kind of placed myself into his place and tried talking. When you said "guy" a complete different imagination strick me. Both the genders have so different ways to expressing anger..female talk, scream, criticize and stuff like that. When it comes to male, their energy is more diverted with being physical.. And that's too much! (If only we're talking about pure aggression. Because even when guys are angry, they don't use their hands to express when it comes to any woman.)

i think most people like to be treated nicely.. it's not exactly a "bad" personality but not popular? can be better if less aggressive? and it depends on how often is she aggressive? sometimes i feel that if a person decides to leave another person, all reasons are just excuses of not wanting to be together anymore actually...

well it depends... it's ok to be aggressive bout certain things, we all tend to b aggressive about something at some point of time. But imagine living with a person who gets aggressive over smallest of things or issues, is it easy?

@Ayuriny It can b anything, depending on person to person. Like for me, i know i am agressive about my space, if some one tries to dominate me, i just can't take it. Similarly, everyone has some things like this
