I have been seeing my sister going vegan since 2 years , She has given up all the diary products, but i am not a vegan.I always wonder how one could manage being vegan as 60-70 percent of daily life products consists milk.Myself personally start my day with coffee , love chocolates, sweets. If one says me to go vegan i would really think twice to take that decision. Hats off to people who are vegans but at the end of the day any tasty food is bliss of life. To be frank one lives to enjoy life thier way.Respect to all vegans.

Nothing is hard as long as you like what you are doing and not being forced or coerced.

I am a vegetaria, not a vegan. I can't be a vegan. I love curd, butter, ice cream etc... Dairy products are actually necessary for a healthy diet.

it is indeed very challenging to be a vegan, because practically most of the food we available is of dairy products. i admire their determination though.

True !! but few companies do manufacture vegan products that are similar to dairy products , also few people replaced almond , soy milk to replace dairy milk. they have more nutritional values but a bit costlier. These days i saw many people going vegan so i think there will be more vegan products available in future at economic cost.

@Ruchitha then that being vegan shouldn't be a problem with all these options available. i think i should consider going vegan, as i have read that it is a healthier way of life.

For me being vegan would be tough. Also I don't really see the need at this point in my life. If I made it to 60 without being vegan, it's not likely I'll live another 60 years with good health, if I change my diet strategy now. Although, it may help the animals live longer. But whoever chooses to be a vegan, go right ahead! There are many people out there who are and they are happy about it! Like you say ... Respect!

I'm vegetarian and not vegan, and I know it's hard to be vegetarian some days. From what I learned from other's it all depends on the will and determination, and if it makes someone happy. Good job to your sister.

Its nice to know that you respect the lifestyle of those whose lifestyle is different from yours. Being vegan doesn't mean not having milk at all soya milk is what vegan drinks. One of my friend is vegan and Foodie as well. Hard to believe? Being Vegan doesn't mean having not yummy foods at all. We have vegan chocolates, vegan recipe for cakes and much more! :)

Well being a began would be tough for me as I like meat and poultry and dairy products and most other stuff vegans cant eat. Its a choice people make. So if its tough its their choice.

It's something I gave up on, I only eat fish no chicken or meal beside fish and it's because I need vitamins in the winter. It depends on what you feel needed for eating

To be very honest, I'd never be able to go vegan. It's not easy to give up on something you like eating so much and switching to dairy free products. I'm a big foodie and on the top of it I'm non vegetarian so I don't think I'd be able to acquire vegan lifestyle

Yeah , i agree the options are narrow , but yet its possible to search more alternatives, they use soy and almond milk in place of milk and mostly people adapt green and organic teas, similarly many options are being explored by vegan die harders. :)

Yes true Shanya !! They do this so sincerely that being vegan would be a fantasy for few people. I too tried for few days , once while walking through streets the piping hot jalebi and some milk sweets tempted me and there ended my vegan journey, ha ha !!
