My sister text me this morning asking if we're okay. I told her it hasn't hit yet. I told her we already have some branches down in our yard even though it hasn't hit quite yet.
So she says come here to get out of there! I said we don't have a running vehicle. She said take a bus! Um... I told her we cannot afford a bus ticket for all of us and I'm not leaving my dog.
Look, I wish we had $500 or more in the bank for saving but the reality is we are BROKE! We just got our rent paid for the month - barely and we have no money now. We live paycheck to paycheck and can barely get by each month...
Must be nice not living in the reality I live in but...it doesn't work that way for everyone.
Yes it was nice of her to offer but now she's annoyed since I told her we can't do that. Oh well we are not rich by any means!

@judyev Yeah and she really hasn't had it tough like we do so I don't think she gets it at all.

@Abbygreenhill Shelters are far from us and we don't have a way to get there. Plus most are at full capacity.

Unfortunately, some people are clueless about money or the lack of it. I know you trust in God's care for you and your family. Stay safe. We're in NC so we're praying also.

Can you get out with some neighbors? I hope it doesn't hit there. I know what you mean about the money thing. There are people who take it for granted.

@Cinnamongrl If we do have to evacuate we have a friend that will get us to safety.
I hope it doesn't either but from the track it's supposed to.
Yup, some with plenty of money just don't get it.
