The test result on Friday....I was so sad!

I was meant to do this post on Friday but I kept putting it off so thought I should do it now. Better late than never. So this is what happened on Friday when I took my theory test for my Nail Technology course: We all sat down. Did the test. Then handed it in. While my teacher marked them, we all caught up on whatever we needed to do in class. Just before we left for lunch the teacher said she wanted some girls to come back after lunch to talk about the test and redo some questions. My name was called. I started feeling annoyed with myself and down straight away cause I studied really hard for this test. So I went to lunch wondering what questions I did wrong. When we all came back to class, I followed the teacher with the other 4 girls whose names were called into a different room. I was preparing myself for her to talk to me about the questions I got wrong. Instead she said "You missed a question darling." I looked at her confused and said "Is that it? Nothing to redo?" She smiled and said "Nope. Just this one question and you're done." I quickly sat down and flipped through the booklet and everywhere, every page, every question had red ticks! I answered the question I missed, handed it back in, the teacher marked it and then let me know I got that correct too. I passed my theory test! Now tomorrow....is my practical assessment! I am bringing my Nan in to be my model for me to work on her nails. If I suck at this, which is possible since I haven't had the chance to practice that much on other people's hands, then I will have to resit the assessment again but will have to pay $120 to do so. If I do pass this then I am done with this part of the course. Which I am hoping will be the case. Because then I can start with the next half of the course which is Manicures and Pedicures. THEN I shall get my certificate for Cert II in Nail Technology.

@vandana7 Abroad I presume, every little thing is taken very seriously which is pretty good. Here you don't need any certified training for health and beauty stuff. You already know that.

I am curious, what exactly is Theory? Somehow my brain keeps coming up with religious connotations.

@rebelann hey theory and practical are there in schools even . They just didn't use these terms back then. Now they are all being fancy-schmancy and more "sophisticated" lol

@rebelann haha! religious connotations lol She would be running half way across the globe to get away from any religious theory. I would help her in escaping! Theory is a written material (sometimes in books, on internet, jotted down in text books based on what the instructor dictated verbally while teaching) on whatever course or subject a person is studying. Dani was giving written test based on studying that material which was then submitted for assessment.

@Daljinder Actually, I saw this discussion before I responded. But because of the title, I didn't want to open it yet... I wasn't ready with what I'd say to her as I thought she didn't pass... And I came back only to find she has passed...
