Finally Home and Safe

After evacuating because of the big hurricane that hit us a few days ago, we are so happy to come home to a house that is still standing and without any damage. It looks like the whole community was lucky but we did not ride around and check everything out yet. We just noticed a huge tree was down and just missed a house up the street. We have so many down trees by us but luckily they were not huge and did not land on the house. Tomorrow we will get outside and start cleaning up the yard. We were lucky to be at a friends on the west coast of Florida as they did not get the hurricane. It was very scary leaving everything behind with no idea if we would see them again. After looking around the house the morning that we evacuated, I realized I could not bring all the things I wanted to and most things could be replaced. I took big pictures of my children and grandchildren with me. To me that was very important. A lot of the town still has no electricity. I am so happy to be home and safe.
