What Will You Take With You If Your House Was On Fire

Read a discussion here and it got me thinking. If my house was on fire, the first thing l will run for is my computer. It keeps me busy and l can be alone for hours on end without feeling lonely or the need for company. Secondly,i will take my medicine, they keep me balanced. If your house was on fire and you could not take much, what will you take?

I would surely grab my laptop and... my teddy bears, it is with me since I was a kid, I cannot let "him" burn in a fire.

@miniam I never brought the teddy with me when we traveled in the United States or Europe, but when we moved from one country to another, he never went into a box, I brought him personally.

Yes, I think I would do about the same. Computer, meds, children's pictures and such. Hope there is time. Actually hope we don't have to worry about it.

@miniam .....If we have to walk I won't be able to bring anything. Can barely get a long myself. If we have a ride I can take a few things.

We lost our house to a fire, I wasn't home but the things I asked about first was my Ladies ( Royal Dalton collectible very expensive ladies) and my genealogy which was in a case. Now I would grab my laptops.

I'd take my hubby, Doodles, laptop, art, jewelry, photos, and my handbag and shoe collection. I think I'd need a moving van to be honest. Lol!

@miniam My hubby and I are a team. I'd never leave him, nor would he leave me. Yes, I have a huge collection of designer everything, some I can't get into again, but I will. If anyone gets them, it will be my daughter in law and son's fiancée. Then the consignment shop. I just can't picture the homeless walking around in Chanel, etc.

Lucky man, here is where many wives will jokingly say they`d leave hubby behind,Do you have a big shoe collection? Wish i had a big shoe collection.Had a very big, very expensive collection of clothes that l did not even need. Now i put on too much weight and im older, can't put on the clothes, so i donated them in batches till they were all gone it could have been different with shoes

First of all I would save my handbag. It contains my wallet, my phone and my ipad. If I had more time I would also save my photo albums and my diary.

@miniam I am sorry to hear that. Some things can't be replaced. I experienced something similar when my ex and I broke up. I lost some of my personal things. I called him and asked him to return them, but he never did. He probably threw them away,

@miniam I could probably survive a little better without my laptop, but I would be helpless without my smartphone. I use it as a mobile wallet, and have all my credit cards and other account data stored in there.

I'd take my tablet. While I couldn't do as much online with it as the batter doesn't last forever, I could do something at least. I'd also want to take a copy of our business program since I need that to process my taxes on time and related things. I'd take my wallet and bible too plus a few other things I'm sure.
