If You Pray. Please Send Prayers or Positive Thoughts My Way

United States
October 12, 2016 7:56am CST
On Monday the Visiting Nurse came and closed the case for my mom. Her progress was unbelievable she said. Yesterday morning my mom had a stroke and had to be rushed to the hospital. She is paralyzed on her right side, can't speak or even open her mouth. Basically she is unable to communicate in any way and after hours in the emergency room she was admitted to the ICU. They gave her medication to stop the bleeding in her brain but it will be touch and go for 24 to 48 hours. This isn't news I wanted to share this morning but everyone has been so supportive over the last few months that I felt I needed to reach out for prayers and kind words. Recovery probably isn't in the cards but I'm hoping that God is merciful and I"d hate to see her suffer. I thank you all in advance for your love and support and I'm comforted knowing that I have such great friends here.

I'm so sorry about your mom, I will pray that she does not suffer and if possible that she can recover but I will also ask the Great Spirit to lighten your heart so it can handle what you are going through.

I will pray for you mom and hope she recovers soon. My mom had a stroke it's been about 7 or 8 years now and she's doing fine. Still has a little trouble on her left side with her hands and stuff but mostly she is on her own doing things that she did before. Just has to be careful with her neck as she has an aneurysm still. I will def keep you and your family in my prayers.

The doctors said that this can't be predicted and a person can be fine one minute and have a stroke the next. It was totally unexpected and the latest doctor report said that she won't recover. Now we are hoping for God to be merciful and she can die peacefully

I may not be a church goer but I have faith and beliefs. I pray God does the right thing for you mom. You had her with you many more years than most of us had our moms. Be thankful for that and the memories you have of her. I had a stroke when I was 35.

@Marilynda1225 My father was dying of pancreatic cancer and had a stroke and was gone in a few days. So I understand what you're going thru. My MIL broke her hip, went to rehab and was fine, fell one more time and that was it, she was 95.

I am so sorry to hear. I actually know how it feels. My Mom suffered paralytic shock this past month. Scared us quite a lot since she has had a paralytic attack in her youth which affected her left side of the body. I will keep your Mom in my thoughts and prayers!

@Marilynda1225 What do the doctors say? Is there any possibility of recovery from the attack?
