What does MyLot actually promise?
"myLot is an enormous discussion board, blogging community, questions and answers hub, social network and online hangout that pays you for your valuable contributions."
The first part tells you what it is (or sets out to be). The only 'promise' made here is that it "pays you for your valuable contributions".
Whether your contributions are valuable or not may be debatable but MyLot has a 100% record of paying on time, every time that payment has been due.
I don't believe that MyLot has ever claimed - let alone promised - to make life better or to 'take us back to mainstream social networks' (whatever you may mean by that).

@owlwings Very well put. This is my first day at mylot, and I am already chilling. Lets hope the fun and earning goes along with a wealth of learning.

Yes thats true. If at all, it is we who get carried away by our work or passions and then try to contain the damage.

@miniam am waiting patiently and interacting. Sometimes disheartening. But I can wait.

I have been here for more than ten years. Minimally present when myLot was owned by others and became less interactive and did not pay for two years. I have seen moments when I was obsessed, but I enjoy it more as I can relax and not feel compelled to be here constantly. I will offer you a tip, put commas between your tags, otherwise it seems you have a really long five word tag.It is not searchable, really in that way. I feel that myLot has made my world better.

Don't know about the money part. Still to make my first dollar. But friends? Yes. Lots. Thank you all for that.

@destry that is good. I am just about getting used to the concept and will need to adjust to the new setting.

Mylot does it promise by paying us for responses we get from post. It nice to come here because of the interactions you get from each other discussions.

Owlwings has answered this better than I could as for promises thats where we come ion we c an tak whats given here , add it to o her e arnings.learn new things from others here, make friendships that last, we have to take what we get from any site and make it what we will as no site promises the earth, the sun and stars with a fence around it, we have to do thjat for ourselves.

Yes @Hatley. I notice that earnings catch up slowly while friends come quickly. Have met a lot of wonderful people on this site.
