Interesting Discussions - Hey... This is one of those "Interesting Discussions." (This one may not be on the MyLot roster of "interesting discussions" even though it is a beauty.) How do I know that this discussion is so doggone interesting? In addition to me saying that it is, I have designed it directly after one that I found listed on the MyLot super-interesting list. Yes, this post is the equal of that fantastically superior posting. Copying the style of that great discussion, here is what it was all about - "I got out of bed this morning. I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast and a glass of beer to start my day. then I checked my mail. there was no mail. Fed the dog. Put the cat outside to pee. Later on, I had lunch, made two phone calls. One call did not go through. (How do you spell 'through?") Enough done for the day, I turned on the TV and watched some soap opera shows. Hope you all were as busy today as I was." Do you think that my fine, new post is going to make it onto the "Interesting Discussion" list today? (Note to all: I am not complaining. I am just saying... that's all.) * * * * * * * * * * Image source: Pixabay dot com * * * * * * * * * *

Mr Gus, this site is full of those "interesting discussions", I see some writing this every morning. Do you also want to start a personal trend?

@Ceerios I think that using imagination and inventing an interesting situation it's always better than telling people that we had again scrambled eggs and coffee.

@LadyDuck - Ms Anna - "Boring" is only permissible when drilling water- and oil wells or set-holes for later installing metal screws. -Gus-

LadyDuck - Ms Anna - Truly, the only thing that I would like to start is the engine of my third jet aircraft. It is just sitting there. It will not stand, walk, talk, or even fly. I cannot imagine what is wrong with the thing. I guess that I will have to stop imagining that nice aircraft. Such is life. -Gus-

I just don't know what to say except ROTFLMAO ! I found this to be quite entertaining. If this was busy, I would like to trade 1 of my days for this.

@Ceerios well you, certainly make me laugh. I try to find the positive side of life. Laughing is more enjoyable, than sorrow. I'm glad I work in an office alone though, since I keep laughing out loud.

@beaniefanatic13 - Ahhhh - To be alone in the office is to be the official, the boss, the "big" one. Voluble laughing is permissible under such circumstances. However chortling is frowned upon without an audience. -Gus-

@beaniefanatic13 - Ms "Beanie" - I am reminded that everything is funny if you let it be funny. I remember one of my old professors tell a semi-dirty joke in a classroom containing a front row of religious nuns. They all frowned. Professor told them that they should understand that God has a sense of humor and "...if you don't believe that, then, when you return to your barracks today, I suggest that you look into a mirror." May your day be a good one. Keep smiling. -Gus-

It will come up as an interesting discussion for you. Check back in an hour or so... What we see as Interesting discussion, in my opinion, still follows the same rule. What tags you have been putting and what discussions you have chosen to reply/comment on. Should I say you have been peeking too much in others' mundane lives?

@hora_fugit - No life is so mundane that when a new pimple appears on the person's tail end there is any lack of excitement and a feeling of discovery. -Gus-

Lol!~ Sounds to me like one of those young ladies that snap their picture with a silly "cute" face and "adorable" puppy dog eyes ( the 50th time they took the pic in case you weren't aware ) and posted it up on facebook or some social media and said, "I wonder what I should do 1st? Brush my teeth or take breakfast? Oh my goodness, I look so ugly without make up on" ......scroll down below....15K LIKES....down to the comments...."you look so cute" , "how can you say you're ugly", "if you're ugly, Angelina Jolie really looks like a withc then ( yes she is....oops, did I just say that, shhh ) and the list goes on.... Disclaimer: Any resemblence of name or incidents are merely pure coincidence as everything here are just fictatious as you might already know by now this is a fictatious disclaimer. Totally unreal

@zweeb82 - Dear Zweeb - I am truly overjoyed that neither you nor I have the slightest dislike of ( ) kinds of discussions and/or ( ) kinds of comments. If they did not exist, you and I would have no more ( ) discussions and no more ( ) comments about which to point our fingers and laugh like whacked-out hyenas at the garbage dump. -Gus-

@zweeb82 - I did exactly as you advised. The laughing was obviously contagious. I was awakened in the middle of the night by the loud noise made by laughing mosquitoes, laughing mice, laughing owls out in the tree by the window, and by my bride hitting me over the head and telling me to quit that stupid laughing stuff. -Gus-

You finally reached the true spirit of myLot. You are a creative genius when it comes to write diaries. I remember that our late king Louis XVI wrote only "Nothing" on his diary for the day of the storming of the Bastille. If he had had your genius, we would at least have known if he had croissants or brioches for his breakfast. This one is not only interesting, it will be top rated.

@topffer - Ahhh. If only I could be a real genius. Remove that "i" and old Carl Linnaeus would have assigned some interesting new species to me. As to the person who posted that "I got out of bed and had breakfast" discussion, he had a liking for breakfast tacos of the Mexican cuisine, so he would not have been an utterly boring man. Have fun today, Friend Topffer. -Gus-

Hi Gus - if that sort of thing is in your 'interesting discussions' you must have tagged something that is mentioned in it, at some time or other. We all get different 'interesting lists'. Or did you mean the post you are referring to was in the 'top' list? Either way, I know what you mean, and enjoyed your amusing take on it.

@jaboUK - Ms Janet - I was really referring to a post that was at the top part of the "Interesting Discussions" list on the drop-down section of the "Explore" tab. It was the saga of a Mexican fellow waking up and going about his breakfast of "breakfast tacos." When I looked at his actual posting, it was even more boring than anyone might expect of it. And that was what led to the writing of my discussion. When I got done with posting my discussion onto the website I thought, "I wonder if the owlies are going to turn me in again for "this one." Glad you enjoyed this one. By the way, my dear landlord has informed me that I must vacate our home by the end of this forthcoming January. He told me in the context of himself getting some "marching orders" from what is left of his organization - the three widows of his erstwhile three partners in their house-owning business. (He told me that they are "yelling at him" to sell the place and give them some money.") So, I guess I will have some things to do other than to write world-shaking discussions and the like. This might be our excuse to get a big place out in the country with woods, fields, a big fishing pond, and plenty of obnoxious pest critters such as rats, mice, gophers, armadillos, and hooty owls. -Gus-

@akalinus - Ms Jo Ann - Have a pleasant trip to New York and a safe trip back home again. You are exactly correct that my "discussion" is most boring. Writing boring discussions takes practice and perseverance. (I have mastered the art of writing crummy posts while eating crummy oatmeal cookies. -Gus-
