So, I told my partner this morning I want a good pair of noise cancelling headphones for Xmas this year! LoL. I know it is early but I figured I would give him a head start. They would be good for my commute even if I transfer jobs. Chances are I will still have a short bus route to get through either way. Do you have a recommendation for the best noise cancelling headphones? I have heard BOSE are the best. Any ideas? I hate hearing people talking when I have music on in my headphones...LoL Take care! I have beats but I think it's just the hype. My previous co worker had Bose and she highly recommended them.

@MissNikki Yes! Bose + Beats are both fairly expensive.

They basically cancel out all background noise. Like annoying people on the train who talk too loudly. Lol

Not really sure which ones would be the best to buy, but do know several who use these regularly while working at home.

It's an old thread, but I would like to share my experience. One of my friends got a pair of affordable noise isolating headphones from SoundMagic and is happy with it. She uses it while travelling, while in office and even when at the gym. These cheap quality headphones restrict the surrounding distractions.

I think it is noise suppression. I do not know whether noise cancellation headphones are there.

They are called noise cancelling headphones. Whether or not they actually fully cancel out back ground noise I do not know.
