This photo is a nod to Autumn. The morning I took the photo was calmer and sunnier than todays.
I hope The Horse pops in to check out the photo. I've enjoyed your sunflower tales while I admired the work you do with the kids. Way to go! Hats off to your able mentoring.

Thanks, Lenore! I had a great time with the littlies this morning. They ran around in the rain, stomped in puddles, and generally got soaked. This afternoon, I get see one of my older kid clients. The corn and sunflowers at the preschool are brown and droopy, but I THINK I saw the first snow pea plant of the Fall poking through!

Thanks, James. There's a cool song by Greg Brown called Who Do You Think You're Foolin' that used a fading sunflower as a metaphor of sorts. He's from Iowa, and they have lots of sunflowers there. I was going to link the song somewhere, but I can't find it on YouTube.
