For Me, This Accursed Endless Election is Over

ballot on its way

I filled out the ballot: voted for president (so I'm entitled to bellyache for the next four years), voted for the local school board—what a bunch of prima donnas—state senate, state assembly, Senate, and just a whole slew of initiatives. What a bunch of nonsense, silly, gimme-mine initiatives. One I went back and forth on was legalizing marijuana in California (it does not to repeal the federal law banning it). One provision is that it allow a private citizen to grow up to six plants at a time. I don't have a lot of experience in these matters, but that strikes me as a whole lot of dope. And when the nice lady who brings us our mail comes, it will be on its way. Image is my own.

Mine was in the mail a few weeks ago, it is the worst year I can remember for nastiness going on. I hope not to be bellyaching for the next 4 years... Because I live outside of the country my choices were simple - Pres and Senate and House of Rep.

A bit more complicated for me. But frankly, whoever the presidential election, it will not be an occasion to celebrate. In one case, it'll be a relief. In another, just flabbergasted.

It does appear to be a never ending President election.

It will end. The next one will start Nov. 9

Yes, but then you have to start anew with six more plants, which takes time.

Ah. I really don't know much about how these things go.

Yes, thanks. Regardless of who wins, they're only there for four years until we do this all over again. No one is elected for life.
