Stop trying to impress other people

Good afternoon.A lazy one that it is.
why is that many people try to impress other people.
It may be normal to some.some people do this a way of life.
I have seen it here, some trying to impress and not sure why?
You have a nice car, fine you deserved it.But do not push it.
I buy clothing from the best stores,The Gap,Levi, etc.
I do remember a story about the levi.It must have the red tag there.
If you do not have one your in.Isn't this silly.
Your not in.
Students in school trying so hard to impress.
from clothing to cars.they have to fit in.
This can be troublesome. It is not healthy.
How many will say bought clothes at Goodwill, thrift shop etc.Not many
Okay for me.I have never been in the predicament.
we never had any money and never had new clothing. They were hand me down.
But let me tell you.I was happy. If my Big Brother gave me a piece of his clothing.
I was in heaven. How cool is that?
So stop trying to impress and just be you.
The photo is mine.From Milano
To do this from time to time could be described as normal, but if one was to do this as a way of life, it is not going to be healthy. If one does do this as a way of life, they are going to end up being disconnected from their own needs and wants for one thing.

Maybe people are just excited and not trying to actually brag? I know my sister always calls and tells me whenever she's going on a vacation again. Since I never get to go anywhere it used to upset me but now I realize she's not doing it to be rude, she's just excited.
Oh and I LOVE thrift stores! I get some good deals and I don't mind buying second hand, I just wash it before wearing it. =)

I have had many friends over the years tell me that they were glad that i never copied others. I was always happy with what i had in my life and I bought what i wanted and not what everyone else had. You should live your life and not copy others or show off to them.

Some people are just into material things. I have to admit, I do love to brag about my bags of skittles. I only mostly get annoyed by people who do that to try to show their status, prestige, and that they think they are better than other people.

My older brother always buys branded goods. To me I just think he has been mugged! He calls them Designer gear I tell him my gear is also designer gear as someone has designed them in the first place. So his gear may be very expensive I prefer practical and comfortable so generally, I stick to the Marks and Spencer brand. Call me boring but I don't care!

As Apollo Creed said in the movie Rocky IV in 1985 "I like who I am. I don't want to change."

I totally agree. I have never set out to impress anyone. I've always walked against the flow it seems and just been me. I would have a hard time living with myself otherwise.

Thank you for the advice. I do remember television commercials on the Southern Command Network (SCN) in Panama which showed a young man who is about a preteen with the message "Be yourself." I like myself as a fan fiction writer of PBS hero Wordgirl but with the addition of her cousins Donna and Debi Isthmus as her "assistants" so to speak.

I think people who do this has no self. They do not know themselves. They are looking for themselves, does that make sense?
HEY! I can go to the goodwill and come out with Levi, Gap and more. Just take your time and look. I personal do not have to shop there but my sister will in a flat second, or send me to do it because I find name brands on her penny budget.
